Nice To Knows...
I'm an arts lover, primal eater and happy puncher! And I'm most definitely not a geek. I like to focus on the things that make me happy. My family, my partner, friends, hobbies etc. I'm lucky that I'm able to enjoy the things I love as part of my work, and not just my spare time.Work History
I grew up in Glasgow, and studied acting at the University of Sunderland, and Atlantic Acting School, NYC. I loved performing, but I quickly discovered that working in production and management gave me just as big a buzz. I quickly transitioned into arts management taking on challenging roles in local authorities and eventually moved to Dublin, Ireland at the end of 2008 for a development position in RUA RED. Through my progression in arts management I took a particular interest in arts policy, fundraising and audience development, eventually being selected to participate in an Arts & Business Fellowship with the Irish Institute at Boston College, with the US Department of State. For more details on my career achievmements please see my LinkedIn profile.Fitness History
In an effort to work a little less, and meet some new people in Dublin, I joined a local gym and started participating in a 'Fight & Fit' class. I quickly went from training twice a week to taking on personal training, strongman sessions and intensive courses. I started reading books and studies on healthy eating, adjusted my diet and drastically improved my health and well being. I'm now a qualified personal trainer and love enhancing and sharing my knowledge of diet and exercise with anyone who is interested!Other bits
When I'm not working or training I love spending time spoiling my nearest and dearest. I love to cook, so any opportunity to spend a good amount of time in the kitchen is relished. I've even been known to make cake. I enjoy a little bit of craft, including a rediscovered love of cross stitch, and playing with my flatmate's cats.
I also like super dark chocolate, good red wine, decent tv drama and a cuddle. ;-)
